Mission Delegation Info

We welcome groups from churches, schools, and other organizations to participate in ministry with us throughout the year. We encourage you to take health and safety precautions during the pandemic. Here in Douglas and Agua Prieta, we wear masks for all indoor activities and while traveling as a group and we practice social distancing where practicable.  

The schedule for each visit is customized to the needs and abilities of both the visiting group and the Frontera de Cristo ministry partners, but activities can include: 

• a border infrastructure tour
• conversations with Border Patrol agents
• dinner with a family from Lily of the Valley Presbyterian Church
• a desert hike simulating a small segment of migrants’ journeys
• a cross-planting on the desert to honor and remember someone who died on the desert
• visits and information sessions at each of our partner ministries, to include the Migrant Resource Center; CAME migrant shelter; Café Justo and the coffee shop Café Justo y Mas; the women’s co-operative at DouglaPrieta Trabaja, the Children’s Enrichment Ministry at New Hope Community Center; and the CATPSIC drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.
